Week 1
CZ CM Mobilizes to Site
On Day 1, CZ Construction Management mobilized to the site on Appleton Street to kick off the high-end bathroom renovation. Our team began by setting up the job site with proper signage and implementing extensive protection measures to ensure the home remains safe and clean throughout the project.

As we’ve just kicked off our latest project in the South End, we’ve gone above and beyond to safeguard the home, especially because it’s an occupied space.

Minimize Dust & Debris: We use high-quality dust barriers and air filters to contain any debris and maintain a healthy, clean environment for your family.
Protect Surfaces: Every inch of your home matters to us. We carefully cover all flooring, walls, and furniture near the renovation area to avoid any accidental damage.
Reduce Noise & Disruption: We strategically plan our work to minimize noise and inconvenience, allowing you to maintain your daily routine with minimal disruption.

Selective Demolition Begins/ Make Safe
Today, our team at CZ Construction Management began the selective demolition phase. This involves carefully removing specific elements while preserving the integrity of the surrounding structure.
Prior to the selective demo our trade partners capped the plumbing fixtures and shut off/removed any electrical that would be in our demo partners way. We value safety and take the proper precautions.
We removed the existing tub, tile walls, tile flooring, drywall, vanity, laundry mirror, and lighting to prepare for the luxurious upgrades ahead. During this process, we take great care to minimize disruption for the homeowners by keeping noise levels as low as possible throughout the day.
Additionally, we make it a priority to thoroughly clean all common spaces at the end of each workday, ensuring the building remains livable and comfortable during the renovation.
Plumbing Rough-In and Tub Install
CZ Construction Management completed the plumbing rough-in today for the renovation in the South End. This critical phase involved installing the necessary plumbing infrastructure to support the new fixtures.
We installed the new bathtub and the shower system rough-in. Additionally, we prepped the plumbing for the new vanity, ensuring it is perfectly positioned for the vanity that will be installed in the final stages of the project.
Completing the plumbing rough-in is a crucial milestone that allows us to now call for our in wall inspections.

Electrical Rough-In
Today we completed the electrical rough-in for the bathroom renovation. We installed essential electrical features, including GFCI outlets, light switches, and wiring for the heated floor system. This included the power connection for the heated floor and its thermostat, ensuring the bathroom will be warm and comfortable.
We also installed the circuit for the vanity light, setting the stage for functional and stylish lighting in the finished space.
With the electrical work done, we’re ready to move forward with the rough electrical inspection.
Week 2
Rough-In Wall Inspections
Today was an important milestone for the condo renovation in the South End. CZ Construction Management scheduled the building, electrical, and plumbing inspections on the same day to ensure everything was up to code and progressing smoothly.
We’re happy to report that all inspections were successful, and the project is moving forward without any delays. This step confirms that the rough-in work for the walls, plumbing, and electrical systems meets Boston’s safety and building standards. This is a big accomplishment as we only started construction six days ago. We were able to accomplish this due to our thorough planning in the pre construction phase of the project.
With the inspections complete, we’re ready to move into the next phase of the project!
Pocket Door Framing
This week, we focused on framing in several key areas to enhance functionality and light flow. In the bathroom, we installed the framing for a pocket door, maximizing usable space and giving the area a seamless look. For the bedroom, we're framing a pocket door with a glass lite, designed to allow natural light to filter through into adjacent spaces. Additionally, we're working on framing the closet to create organized storage that optimizes the room layout. Each step brings us closer to a bright, spacious, and well-thought-out design!
